얇은 판재에는 체결력을 유지 해줄 만큼 충분한 나사산 확보가 어려우므로, 충분한 나사산을 가진 너트 또는 스터드를 모재에 압착 시킨다. 클린칭 방식과 리벳팅 방식이 있으며, 클린칭 방식은 모재 삽입부에 돌기나 형상을 만들어서 모재에 삽입 후 회전 저항을 받을 수 있도록 하는 것이며, 리벳팅 방식은 삽입부 반대편으로 나온 너트(스터드)의 일부를 크림핑(접혀서)시켜서 모재에 부착시키는 방식이다.
 
▣ 회전 저항 토르크가 매우 높다.
▣ 모재 표면의 돌출이 없어서 외관이 수려하다.
▣ 간단한 프레스 장비로 가능하다.
